1. hypertexts
Texts that are stored in a computer system that contain links that enables a user to access particular locations in web pages or other electronic documents by clicking on links within specific web pages or documents.

we are also ask to reflect and discuss our own reading preferences and strategies when dealing with printed materials and digital materials.

i) printed materials
usually i'll read through once then i'll highlight the main points and then file them all in orderly inside a file so that it'll be much more easier for me to refer when i need to.

ii) digital materials
i'll enlarge to 100% view first before i start to read and stop reading for awhile when my eyes are tiring. Sometimes i'll save the pages in my computer and continue reading when i'm free.

tutorial activities

this week we are ask to search 1 educational website that provides English language learning and teaching materials for all skills [Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing skills] using 3 different search engines [Bing, Yahoo and Google Search].

we are also ask to search for translation machine that can translate text from English to Malay and Malay to English.


i do this with my partner, ng ru yi.

it provides over a thousand pages of free information and resources for both teachers and students. All materials are organized by skill and level for quick and easy access.

i think that the translation accurate is acceptable. i would like to give it the rate around 8 or 9.

activity tutorial week 2-3

newspaper advertisement [edited by me myself]


1. firstly, i find all the pictures that i need from google images then download them. secondly, i paste them into microsoft powerpoint. thirdly, i do the words typing. lastly, i arrange them well and save my document.

2. i get the pictures from google images.

3. i format the advertisement as jpeg file.

4. i do my typing while reading the words with 4 fingers for both hands. [i didn't use my 2 last small fingers]

5. yes. i did use the help tools.

6. yes. i did get help from friends.

7. hmmm... i think i can consider as a good typist because i used to help my dad in typing all his documents since i was small. i was a secretary when i joined my co-curriculum in school too. while as a good designer i'm still in the learning process. ermm... i would like to give myself the rate around 8 or 9.
